Get a full context of what that means here Set your 40kLore flair Carnifex is like a walking bus with samurai swords for arms.A subreddit for the lore and stories encompassing the dark future of the 41st millennium. Nids troops as basically free if you go from lore since they are plants lol.ġv1 though I nids prolly have the edge too, their shit just looks more dangerous. Zerg a little bit more squishy its not as simple for zerg to make a massive planet conquering army they need more resources to produce troops. Nids are basically fast growing plants which come from spores shot down from space from the hive fleet the spores grow in a couple of hours and a massive army appears. Nids also come from another galaxy which means they is probably alot more than has been unveiled in the lore. Its not like there is one nid in control of everything. Pretty much every 1 in 3 units of nids is also capable of being a hive so it would be hard to kill em all. Nids can still function without the presense of a hive they just become less powerful. Zerg are killable kill the overmind and kill their leaders and the rest of the shit stops working GG. The monsters from nids and zerg tend to be kind of similar but nids just have more of them. I've discussed this with a friend, if there was a Chaos God of Awesome he'd be more powerful than all non-corporeal and corporeal beings combined because the physics of the 40k universe run off of Rule of Cool. Anything gold plated is better even though gold is a terrible metal to plate combat equipment with.īasically the writers run off the Rule of Cool and that's why I got bored with the Horus Heresy after a few books, that and the Primarch known for his fits of rage is called Angron, BECAUSE HE'S ANGRY, YOU SEE WHAT I DID THERE! They have solid chests, no gaps between ribs. The list goes on, it's most prominent when you talk about Space Marines. Space Marines > any other human archetype It's basically any Warhammer race> their equivalent from another fiction. Going off lore in WH40k is stupid, especially considering the writers seem to have it in their skulls that they have to top every other fiction in the world. This post has been edited by Flopjack: Jun 2 2009, 17:36 PM + Forced other races to kablooie their own planet to try and stem the attack, but failed Don't seem to assimilate as Zerg does or wield psychic powers + Turns heads in cinematic of DoW2 during battle upon arrival lack uber infesting powers, lack some slimy and other appearance issues + Morphed some kind of bio Guns on soldiers + Probably some kind of uber leader, chain of command, etc. ![]() +Countless numbers, large monsters and makes places desolate upon victory + Traveles from who knows where owning planets for the lulz of it all Zerg forces are often scattered and don't cooperate when Overmind dies.Īnd here is the little I know about the Tyranids: +Overmind will probably come back in SC2, or it better. + Able to assimilate other heros such as Kerrigan and create super soldiers + Overmind has developed psychic abilities to communicate, lure and control + Overmind itself is "countless millennium" years of age. Severing this chain means losing control of countless soldiers + Lead by the Overmind, which instructs Cerebrates, which instruct broods absolute loyalty + Countless numbers, large monsters, makes places unlivable when they come + Assimilates best genetic code to dominate all life So Nids having a lower pop cap doesn't mean Zerg out number Nids and a big Nid being able to eat knock over trees in the game where as an Ultralisk can't in Starcraft doesn't mean Nids are stronger or something. I'm not entirely familiar with the lore of the Tyranids, but they seemed like a worthy opponent for Zerg (arguably the most uber enemy of all gaming history in warfare type settings) We're going entirely off lore here, not stats or game play stuff. OK, I need some help nerding out here for a bit.
